It is very important to remember that an International Phytosanitary Certificate is always required for any plant germplasm exchange.

The requirements of countries that received seed from CIMMYT Headquarters located in Mexico, have been collected from the permits granted to CIMMYT for exportation of wheat experimental seed. The information in this table was updated to September 2011.

The Genebanks

The 11 CGIAR genebanks currently conserve 730,000 of cereals and grain legumes, forage crops, tree species, root and tuber crops, bananas and crop wild relatives.
